Last season we had taken a break of the race life and had only done a few races throughout the NEATV serires. Justin had bumped up to Pro-Am just to feel it out and gain some skill riding with the top dogs. While Jake Chamberland had moved up from his honda 300ex to team JBI's KTM 450sx! He went 1-1 in both C classes at Epping New Hampshire, Mx 101 for his first race on that bike. The last race at Hemonds Mx Track Jake had bumped up to the B class and tested his skill there. Jake is showing extradionary potential to be an up and coming star in the ATV racing! During that race he led the first 2 laps and due to fatigue he had fallen back to second and remained there for both races. When we asked Jake what happened out there he had told us "Because we weren't doing the whole series this year I had not trained as much as I should've so the arm pump got to me during the third lap and I was just holding on from there!"
Justin had intersting season moving up and down from Pro-Am to A class not knowing what class he wanted to do for next year. The team told him he should just stay in the A class for the last 2 races and have some fun. The first race was held in Epping, New Hampshire that had a great faculty that enjoyed having us racers there and always groomed the track if it was getting to rough! During the race Justin didn't have the best holeshots but he was on a mission to get to the front of the pack, and by the end of each race Justin had either achieved a top 5 spot or a podium finish. During the last race which was Held in Minot Maine, at the Hemonds Mx track. Justin was in the Open A class looking for first place. The first race was not what he had wanted though, during the second lap his clutch basket had blown and had to take a DNF for the first heat. The final couldn't have gone better though with Justin taking the lead from Jesse Onesti during the 3rd lap and never looking back. At the end of the race Justin had told his team "Not training and riding like I usually do during the season really affected me, I was surprised at the arm pump I was getting during the race!"
With the 2012 NEATV season coming up the boys have been training at their full potential giving nothing less than 110% in every training session! Jake and Justin are looking for the championships in their classes this year and are going to be very promising riders while they come up through the ranks. Wayne Chamberland the owner and team manager of JBI racing had told us "Justin and Jake have a good head on their shoulders and are very commited to racing and going Pro one day. As they grow up these boys are just going to get faster and faster, I cant wait to see them both in the Pro class one day racing each other!" This season is going to look very promising for the JBI racing team
Keep an eye out for Wayne Chamberland #67 as he is coming back from retirement to try and take home the 40+ championship!
